Summary:
Colin Carlson is a 13 year old sophomore at the University of Connecticut. He thinks that the university is discriminating against him for his age so he has filed an age discrimination claim with the university which is under investigation. He wants to take a class that is oversees but the university is saying that he is too young and they are concerned for his safety. He was planning on getting a major in four years and he is saying that they are messing up his four year plan, he thinks that the university's decision is preposterous(pg.94). The university is not letting him go even after Colin Carlson's mom offered to release the university from liability and accompany her son as a chaperone on her own volition(pg.69) and at her own expense.

Details:
-Colin is a sophomore at the University of Connecticut and he is seeking a bachelor's degree in ecology, evolutionary biology and in environmental studies
-The University of Connecticut is not letting him study oversees because he is too young
-He has received kudos(pg.61) from many people because he is very intelligent and he knows what he wants to do at such a young age.
-Many people are saying that it is unfair because he got accepted to the university and should be able to have access to all of the academic programs
